"I WOULDN'T TRADE MY DAR EXPERIENCE FOR ANYTHING."

DAR is your mother, your daughter, your grandmother, your friend, your colleague … DAR is you!

Are you just starting out on your journey to discover your family roots…or are you one document away from solving a mystery of one of your ancestors? Wherever you are in your genealogical process, DAR is here to help. The DAR Genealogical Research System (GRS) includes free online databases containing information on Revolutionary patriot ancestors, descendants of those patriots, as well as the vast array of genealogical resources from the DAR Library.

The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) is a non-political, non-profit, volunteer women's service organization dedicated to preserving American history, promoting patriotism, and securing America's future through better education for children.

The DAR was founded in 1890, and its main headquarters are located in Washington D.C. DAR members volunteer annually to support veterans; they also award scholarships and financial aid each year to students, and support schools for the underprivileged with annual donations.

DAR is also one of the most inclusive genealogical societies in the country. There are 185,000 members in the 3,000 chapters across the United States and internationally. Any woman 18 years or older - regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background - who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolutionary War, is eligible for membership.

Within the Fort Morgan Chapter, NSDAR, we are working to strengthen our communities through involvement, education, and historical preservation. Membership is filled with benefits, including opportunities to learn and lead, shape your experience to what is important to you, and become part of a larger network across the country. Becoming an active member is fun and personally fulfilling!
